The Mivoisin Estate owns around 3,500 acres of woodlands, and the management aims here are to achieve long term timber production as well as providing a wonderful environment for wildlife.

The Management Plan promotes mixed aged woodlands in order to encourage maximum diversity and a greater abundance of tree species.

The woodland policy on the Estate ensures a sustainable future and seeks to provide better protection against adverse weather conditions, and at the same time encourages more unusual varieties such as Acacia, Wild Service, Wild Cherry and Alder.

Our forest products are sold mainly to sawmills or for barrel making and more recently for fuel for renewable energy to district heating companies.
