TIMBER PRODUCTION

The Mivoisin Estate owns around 3,500 acres of woodlands, and the management aims here are to achieve long term timber production as well as providing a wonderful environment for wildlife.

The Management Plan promotes mixed aged woodlands in order to encourage maximum diversity and a greater abundance of tree species.

The woodland policy on the Estate ensures a sustainable future and seeks to provide better protection against adverse weather conditions, and at the same time encourages more unusual varieties such as Acacia, Wild Service, Wild Cherry and Alder.
